NeuroAffirming Therapy
That Meets You Where You Are
Neurodivergent-Affirming Care for Minnesota, California & Washington | Kids, Teens & Adults | Telehealth Available
Ever sat across from a therapist thinking, “They just don’t get me”? Or been told you’re “just anxious” or “overreacting” when really, you’re navigating a world that wasn’t built for your neurotype?
At Neuron & Rose Psychological Services, we provide neurodivergent-affirming therapy for children (8+), teens, and adults in person and via telehealth. Many of our therapists are neurodivergent themselves, so we truly understand the challenges you face. Therapy isn’t about fixing, masking, or conforming. It’s about helping you feel seen, supported, and empowered to live authentically without burning out.
If therapy hasn’t worked before, you’re not alone and that’s exactly why we’re here.

You May Be Considering Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy But Have More Questions…
I’ve read that traditional CBT may not always work well for neurodivergent folks. Do you use CBT for neurodivergent participants?
We don’t do traditional CBT—the strict, one-size-fits-all kind that tries to change your thoughts. Instead, we gently bring in helpful CBT tools when they feel right for you, like problem-solving, tracking emotions, journaling, setting boundaries, communicating your needs, or exploring the pros and cons of a decision. We draw from many different approaches to meet you exactly where you are and support you in the way that works best for you.
How can I be sure I’ll feel understood and supported, rather than dismissed?
This is a very common concern, especially if you’ve been misdiagnosed or dismissed by providers in the past. We take the time to truly understand you—your experiences, your goals, and what matters most to you. Our approach is collaborative because we believe you are the expert on your own life. Together, we’ll co-create a therapy experience that honors your identity and supports you on your own terms.
You're not going to try to teach me social skills, are you?
No. We understand and honor brain differences, and we will never try to make you appear more neurotypical.
Is somebody gonna match my freak?
The answer is Yes. Yes, we are.
